Environment Area : Nature Trail

Envisaged as a walk on the wild side, this project uses another part of the land reclaimed from the Sopworth Road verge and is in the early stages of development. It links the Forest School area near the car park entrance, past a camera-installed bird box, and links up to the Chillout Zone via a traditional Cotswold stone style (our thanks to the Cotswold Wardens). Apart from a well trodden path, this is an area where nature rules. We are extremely grateful to Peter Bishop for his time and generosity in gifting and setting up the bird box whose camera is linked to a monitor in the school building for live coverage of nesting birds. Now accessible on the internet! Each year, we have been able to witness the full cycle from nest building through to fledglings hatching and flying from the nest. Move over Spring Watch!
