Multiplying 4 digit numbers by 1 digit

Please watch the White Rose Video below.

Make sure you pause the video at the relevant places and have a go at answering the questions.  Write down your answers just like you would during my teaching sessions in class in your notepads.

Then you can complete the worksheet below and check your own answers. Answer the questions in pencil and mark in a different colour.  There is a challenge available for you to complete as well.

The video is approximately 10 minutes long, so factoring in thinking pauses you should spend 15-20 minutes watching the video and a further 20-40 minutes answering the worksheet and challenge.  These times are a guide and if you want to spend longer on your work that is absolutely fine.

Thursday 7th January and Friday 8th January

Please watch the video below. Today and tomorrow's work build up the understanding required for the formal method of long multiplication.  It is important to watch the videos carefully, even if you feel you understand the work already.

Remember to pause the videos to have a go at the questions at the start and pause to answer any questions asked.
