Monday 25th January - Burns Night
Today we are taking a break from our work on Greek myths and will look instead at some work based on Burns Night, which fall on the 25th January every year.
On Burns Night, people in Scotland and Scots around the world celebrate the life and works of the poet Robert Burns, who wrote using his Scots accent and dialect.
You will find out more in the reading comprehension below. You can choose your own level of challenge, but I would expect most of you to aim for the 2 star challenge or above.
Finally, an optional extra: A recipe for traditional Scots shortbread.
If you do have a go at this, I'd love to see a photo of your biscuits.
Today we're going to examine another 3 Greek myths/stories, all of which have something in common with the story of Persephone.
Watch all 3 stories first, then click on the presentation at the end.
