Rocksteady Music School

Rocksteady Music School run weekly rock and pop band lessons every Friday afternoon open to Reception to Year 6 children.

The children choose from drums, vocals, keyboard or electric guitar (subject to availability) and join their band mates for a 30-minute lesson where together they learn to play their favourite songs. Parents are invited to hear what they've been learning at the end of term Rocksteady concerts.

Mr Dunn is a guitar teacher with over 10 years experience in teaching to all levels and styles.  He has been at Sherston School since September 2015.

Lessons take place every Thursday during the school day. Each lesson is tailored to the student's needs and interests with the student being able to learn by grade, or pick and choose from a wide range of material and genres. 

Beginner students will quickly learn how to play with a solid technique, and with the use of dedicated exercises will soon master their first songs. Intermediate students will build upon their existing skills, improving both their technique and knowledge by learning new chords, scales, and songs. Carefully chosen exercises will be used to rapidly improve these skills.
