    Catering Assistant

As Sherston Primary continues to grow, we're looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our wonderful school community this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a caring, supportive team and play an important role in the school day for our children. Whether you're experienced in catering or looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you. Full training is provided, and you'll be working in a welcoming environment where every member of staff makes a difference.

    Volunteers

We would be very interested in hearing from volunteers who would like to run extra-curricular activities or help in school with reading etc. On the clubs front, we would particularly like to hear from anyone who would be interested in running creative writing, coding, gardening or a netball club – but all ideas are welcome!

In line with our Volunteer Policy and latest KCSIE national requirements, all volunteers will need an enhanced DBS and two references. Volunteers would also need to commit to a regular time each week and for the duration of at least one term.

If you would like to volunteer to run a club or help out in one of our classes, please contact the school office: admin@sherston.wilts.sch.uk

    Why work for us?

Sherston is a thriving village Primary rated Good by Ofsted. In a recent inspection (July 2021) Ofsted found that:

    • Leaders and staff are ambitious for all pupils. They place significant importance on ‘learning, caring and achieving together’
    • Pupils are unanimous in their view that this is a happy and safe place to learn
    • Pupils show positive attitudes in lessons. This means that interruptions to learning are rare
    • Pupils with SEND thrive in a supportive environment

    In addition, we offer:

    • A unique school set in beautiful grounds, in a modern purpose-built building, with on-site parking, in the heart of a pretty Cotswold village
    • Joyful, enthusiastic children with a love of learning
    • A strongly committed and united staff
    • A supportive school community, including parents and governors
    • Close ties to the local parish
    • A supportive leadership team
