  • Y5 / Y6 Production - Rock Bottom

Fri 20 Jul 2018 Mr Stewart

This year's Y5/6 play was a sensational success, with wonderful singing, dancing and comedy.

Rock Bottom tells the story of how our prehistoric hero - magnificently played by Ben Sk - defeats the evil Lady Lava - fantastically portrayed Rosie - with the help of his friends and a baby dinosaur called Rex. Audiences were thrilled, chilled and left weeping with laughter.

The children worked really hard throughout rehearsals and the performances, and Mr Stewart and Miss Duddridge couldn't have been prouder of them.

Big thanks must be given to the dedicated team of TA and office staff for giving up hours of their spare time to prepare puppets, props, costumes and tickets, all of which helped towards the overall success of the show!

  • Athletics Festival - Malmesbury School

Fri 06 Jul 2018 Mrs Peevers

    Congratulations to year 6 Athletes!

The Year 6 children recently attended the annual athletics festival at Malmesbury School and achieved some fantastic results. Eleven schools took part in the event which was run like clockwork on a beautiful sunny day.

    Sherston produced four individual winners:

    • Cruz won 60m race
    • Toby won 200m race
    • Alice E won 800m race and
    • Rosie won the long jump

All the children earned points throughout the afternoon but there was no time at the end of the day to announce the overall winners.  We finally have those results and are very proud to announce that Sherston girls A team won the girls section and Sherston boys B team won the boys section.

Congratulations to all the children who behaved beautifully and were very sporting and supportive to each other throughout the day.
