  • 'Chance To Shine' with Wiltshire Cricket

  • Y3/4 inter-schools dodgeball tournament

    We had a fun-filled afternoon at the Year 3/4 dodgeball tournament yesterday. The children were praised by the organisers and other schools for their fairness and great sporting spirit. Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to all our parents for your support with lifts to and from the venue.

    Sycamore class enjoyed a fantastic week of outdoor adventures on the Dorset coast at their PGL residential this month. Activities included everything from zip wire, trapeze, climbing and buggy building, to street surfing, aeroball, giant swings...and more. Plus the all-important afternoon on the beach!

  • Rocksteady Music Concert

    We were treated to an afternoon of magical musical performances when our Rocksteady Music School bands took to the stage last week for their end of term concert. Well done to ‘School Of Rock 2’, ‘The Greatest Showkids’, ‘Yum’ and ‘6 Titanium Chipmunks' who all rocked their songs…and a big thank you to our incredible Rocksteady Band Leader, Jacques Butler!

    We had a fantastic afternoon of footballing fun at the Year 3/4 inter-schools tournament yesterday. Well done to all our pupils who took part for their great attitude and team spirit in all the matches. We are very proud of you. And a big thank you to all our parents who came along for their support on and off the pitch!

  • Automated external defibrillator installed on school site

    We are absolutely ecstatic to have an AED (automated external defibrillator) installed in a new cabinet to the right of our main entrance. It's bright yellow so you can't miss it! This is for the use of the whole village community and will be available 24/7. A big thank you to our school community who raised an amazing £1,300 to procure this. And a special thank you to Lucinda Dryden who spearheaded the fundraising and to everyone who made a donation.

  • Tracklements present cheque to school for crabapple fundraising

    We were delighted to be joined by the team from Tracklements today who came in to present a cheque for £1,279 to the school and youth groups of Sherston for the funds raised from the autumn 2022 crabapple collection. Thank you to Tracklements for this generous donation and to Sarah Nelson who coordinated the collection on behalf of the FSS. And thank you to all our families and the wider community who donned their wellies and got collecting for a great cause!

  • World Book Day & Author Visit

    We were delighted to be joined by Anthony Burt, author of The Animal Lighthouse, to celebrate World Book Day. A very big thank you to Anthony for the fantastic interactive assembly and inspiring writing workshops for all the children, and the special story time with Oak class sharing his new picture book 'Prineet The Purring Panther.' Thank you to the FSS for organising and funding this great experience.

  • New after school club - Junior Spartans Bootcamp

    We’re delighted to be offering a new free after school club for year 5 and 6 children this term - Junior Spartans Bootcamp! Run by Tony Baxter who has over 30 years experience in martial arts, teaching self-protection courses and personal training, the classes are designed to promote fitness and confidence, along with team building skills. Sessions include cardio, strength building exercises, as well as basic martial arts. Huge thanks to Tony Baxter for organising and running this fantastic club.
