Staff Vacancies

We are looking for a creative and committed After School Club Leader and one or two Club Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.  This is a new venture for the school which we hope to offer from September 2022 and when combined with our Early Bird club, will offer working parents wraparound care on our school site from 7.45 am to 6pm.  You can find further information on each post and an application form below. After School Club Leader

 

Salary Range: Grade F (£11.02 to £11.70 per hour)
Hours of work: 3pm - 6pm during term time plus 1 hour per week for planning
Contract type: Initial fixed term contract for 1 year, likely to extend or go permanent 
Commencement date: 1 September 2022

We are looking for someone:

  • With a strong vision for the club, which will make the most of our beautiful natural surroundings, forest school area and outdoor classroom
  • Is confident working with children and supervising staff
  • Skilled in planning, preparing and running a range of fun activities to engage children of all ages
  • Who has excellent interpersonal skills and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Who will work effectively with all stakeholders and particularly parents
  • Who ideally holds a Level 3 childcare qualification although candidates  willing to work towards the qualification will also be considered

After School Club Assistant

 

Salary Range: Grade C (£9.60 to £9.99 per hour)
Hours of work: Ideally 3pm - 6pm, Mon-Fri, during term time. The shifts could be shared between two people if necessary
Contract type: Initial fixed term contract for 1 year, likely to extend or go permanent
Commencement date: 1 September 2022

We are looking for someone who:

  • ideally has previous experience of working with primary age children
  • has excellent interpersonal skills and enjoys working as part of a team
  • will work effectively with all stakeholders and particularly parents

 

The role will include:

  • setting up the After School Club room
  • preparing snacks (Food hygiene training will be provided if necessary.)
  • supervising pupils while they are eating
  • assisting the Club leader to organise craft and sport activities
  • supervising games
  • managing pupil behaviour in line with school policies
  • helping to resolve any disputes between children
  • dealing with first aid incidents (Training will be provided if you are not a qualified First Aider.)
  • communicating with other staff, parents and carers
  • keeping up to date with safeguarding training and school safeguarding policies
